Bay View Plant Sale, May 30 2009, Bay View Garden and Yard Society

What
The Bay View Garden and Yard Society is pleased to collaborate with the South Shore Farmer’s Market and Milwaukee County Parks to kick off the 2009 growing season with the popular Bay View Plant Sale at South Shore Park.

The Bay View Plant Sale hosts a variety of local, commercial plant vendors. This annual plant sale is always a colorful and wonderful start to the spring planting season. Shoppers will be able to purchase their choice of hundreds of plants; including some of the best exotic heirloom favorites, perennials, annuals, ornamental trees, shrubs, herbs, hanging baskets, and tropical plants. Coffee and bakery will also be available for sale. Knowledgeable gardening club members will also be on hand to answer questions about gardening.

Where
The fifth annual sale will be held in South Shore park (rain or shine) on South Shore Drive between Estes and Meredith streets on the west side of the street. The same location as the annual South Shore Farmer's Market.

The park is easily accessed from I-94 exiting east at Holt Avenue to Chase Avenue north, east on Oklahoma Avenue to the lake; or from I-794 over the Hoan Bridge or north from Layton Avenue exiting at Oklahoma Avenue east.

From any direction, once you are at Oklahoma and Superior (as far east as you can travel on Oklahoma), go north about six blocks and South Shore Park will be on the east side of the street.
